Effective treatments are available which are better than ever. A whole lot of illicit drug users do not see their use as a problem, and stay in denial. This can be detrimental to the individual's long term health and family unit. People tend to think prescription medications must be safe because a physician wrote for them. How can they be harmful if that's the case? Going to rehabilitation in America has less stigma official site than it used to. So more addicted individuals get their lives back on track and will utilize the option.
This is also a true statement; it is indeed against federal law to use marijuana for any purpose at all, including medical. At one point in time, it was against the law for a woman or person of color to vote, or for a person with a dark skin to drink from the same water fountain as a person with fair skin. Just because a law is in place, does not mean it is a just law.
Meanwhile, 18 states have enacted legislation to legalize medical marijuana, 10 states have laws pending, and two countries have gone so far as to decriminalize recreational marijuana use.

If medical marijuana is lawful how can that be? Well, here's the rub - it's legal in California, but prohibited under federal statute.
Feeling apprehensive yet? That's enough for me. When jackbooted thugs patrol streets demanding to see the papers of kids and blindly following dumb orders so the city gets their cut I call it a police state. But I know a lot of you're unconvinced. Let's move on.
